Appliance Repair typically involves the repair of fridges, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and other household appliances. The repair people are often employed by the appliance company or by an appliance vendor (ex. Sears repair service). Some repair professionals operate their own business. The work usually involves making a 'house call' to a customer's residence to repair a damaged or dysfunctional appliance. The work is typically done during regular working hours and involves knowledge of how the various appliances operate and a great deal of knowledge about frequent problems associated with a particular appliance.
