Career as a Magician
Magicians usually perform at nightclubs, restaurants, theatres or in street performances. They will do a variety of slight of hand or illusion tricks that are considered 'magic.' The magician will usually have some training in the field of illusion and slight of hand tricks. The work they do is considered entertainment because audience members typically let themselves believe that the tricks are magic and the entire show is usually done with a comedic flair. Magicians typically work evenings and weekends at a variety of locales. The work can sometimes be very dangerous especially for those who perform 'stunt' tricks such as locking themselves in chains or being placed underwater. The magician nearly always performs with well-trained assistants who assist him in his performance.
